Vocal pairing
- Chopped vocal samples are the safest EDM vocal: "female vocal chopped into the lead melody".
- One line repeated is more effective than verses. Repetition is the genre, not a limitation.
- For a full vocal performance, ask for airy and processed — dry, loud pop vocals fight the mix.
- Chants and crowd vocals work for big room and sports cues; keep them short and shouted.
Production
- Say "sidechained" if you want the pumping effect — it is a production instruction Suno understands.
- Ask for width: wide supersaws and mono kicks. Electronic mixes read as professional when the low end is centred.
- Name the transition tools: white-noise riser, snare roll, filter sweep, reverse cymbal, hard cut.
- Keep the arrangement long. EDM needs an intro and a breakdown, or you get a two-minute loop with a chorus.
